Feeding frozen / thawed is a safer way to ensure your reptile is having all of their nutritional needs met without having to worry about the risk of live feeding, which can lead to potential injuries, bites, and stress for your snake.
Always follow breeder's instructions on thawing your rat prior to serving your reptile. Advice on how to thaw / serve your snake frozen / thawed can also be found online or drop us a line!
Of course, we understand the need for feeding live as well, as some snakes refuse anything that isn't breathing, moving, warm, and makes noise. All we ask is that you always introduce live prey into your reptile's habitat in a slow, calm manner and be sure to stand by in case the need to interfere arises. Please be aware that rats can still bite, attack, and become defensive when being hunted / attacked and while we socialize our feeders as much as we can manage for safe temporary handling, that does not mean they are not capable of biting. Handle with care.
We try to be as fair as possible with prices and we don't believe that your rats should cost you a fortune because let's face it.... pet store prices are outrageous and their rats are supplied by mass feeder breeders that sell them to stores in bulk where they are not kept in the best conditions, let alone... healthy.
With frozen feeders, we offer a bulk discount of 5% off when purchasing more than 8 rats (only sizes small -- xxl are included). This does not apply to live animals at this time.
